Hello and Welcome to Total Transformers!
Total Transformers has been running for over five years and offers you high quality Transformers discussion, there's specific forums for Character Development, where you can create your own transformer characters, TF Art & Fan-fics, request-a-sig and some non-TF forums to keep you entertained. We also have regular yearly contests throughout the year, puzzles and an interactive smilieys freeplay rp forum,. In all to have some fun and talk to fans, old fans or new ones, on any aspect of transformers or non Transformers discussions.
The heart of this community after all, is it's members.
A little about me, the forum & it's history.
I grew up in the 1980's having been born in 1976, and as a kid lived for the cartoon which inevitably got me hooked on the toys and comic series. Transformers were huge in the 80's but come secondary school (big school/high school) i moved on though it always stayed with me at the back of my mind. At college i saw a UK version of the G2 comic (when they weren't reprinting), but only that one issue (UK~#2) which i still have, though i still knew nothing about G2. I missed the Beast Wars but was vaguely aware of it, and saw a couple of episodes but it didn't appeal to me transformers turning into animals and all that (oh how that would change in adult life)
After getting on the net in 2001 and having a computer to catch up on old G1 comics (Where my interest lay most after many dreams about seen any again after losing mine in the course of space and time) i slowly learned more and more over the next two years and what i had missed, and started collecting again when i saw RID toys at their height in the UK.
It was here that a now good friend of mine, "HeavyAssault" as his handle name created a new faction called The Renegades. It's a long story, but in short, a third rival faction in the RPG to the Autobots and Decepticons. He, myself and one other named Latyrx7, made them immensely popular and what started as fictional faction soon became a serious adventure for us, uniting the three of us as friends, on-line work colleagues, and as a second family. The Renegades our now our serious full time project on the net, hoping to spread our word and tell you what we're all about and why we took on Autobots and Decepticons.
At this site our new faction was based around a group of rogue Autobots taking the fight in their own hands and not having to be restricted by Autobot rules and standards. In reality the message board was changing The administrator at the time was inexperienced and wanted to move the forum, to the same forum provider, just on a different server, and for what? Different colours which he [Optimus Prime] could've done at the same board.
So a number of us objected to this move and rebelled which is when "HeavyAssault" declared himself a rogue Autobot and replied in one of the threads "Renegades Rule!" which became our motto. Keep in mind this wasn't a role-play forum yet when the forum was to be moved, all that came after. This "Optimus Prime" as he went by had deleted all the threads many big bounteous threads and practically all the boards history (Including my very successful "Autobots unite!" thread in response to the "decepticons, Attack!" one, both of which were very fun and full of banter and huge thread just goofing off!
It was after the present admin [then] abdicated to the new forum, to which we didn't really follow, and to which he would repeat this move frequently with his failing board, that the board was re-created into a Transformers Role-play board. In August 26th 2002, having then been apart of quite a few TF communities; opened my own Transformer message board, I also became hugely interested in Transformers role-play (RP or RPG's) on some of these forums, where i met a whole new array of fans and learned how to extend my own creativity in helping participate in interactive role-playing (something prominent in my own forum over the last three years). I joined the "renegades" as 2nd member followed by L7 as third and we kept both Autobots and decepticons on their toes and guessing as we managed something they couldn't, to work - together, as a team, to plan and use strategy. Something the Autobot players lacked.
At time of writing our forum has now been active for 4 years and almost 5 months, and has gone from strength to strength each year. We have a great community of friend, making it more than just a message board and offer a great in-depth variety of Transformers discussions, news (inc. new movie news), toys TF Art & media - fan-fics art and character development where you can create your own Transformer profiles. We have hosted a number of very successful RPG's and offer plenty of non-Transformer forums and a general forum to hang out, molded to fit our member's needs.
We recently celebrated out 4th year anniversary, and things have never been better. Total Transformers continues to remain a very active forum gaining new members and friendships whilst continuing to push the envelope with great content - discussions and a real sense of community, something that not all forums can accomplice without creating "cliques" to which TTF is proud to be free off. Total Transformers provides that place for you the like-minded fan or new generation of fan that place to talk about the Transformers, among a community of great friends & fans.
Feel free to have a look around, and if you're interested in joining we'd be more than happy to get to know you! If not, then thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to come back soon!
New members: Why not introduce yourself to the other members, and let us know you're here, perhaps tell us a little bit about yourself!
Regards,
The TTF Staff.
