All along I've said I didn't want the website (www.totaltfs.com) be like a "proper" TF website, 1) because of there are so many out there 2) space.
That may change.
The site as it stands is more personal for this forum, but with so little member interest in it, it makes me wonder If I shouldn't just go for broke? It wouldn't have everything a standard TF site has, I.E. toy reviews (Unless a member wants to write a regular column once a month? Or I do that blog idea), character specs etc. For one, again space 2) again it'd just be like every other site - so it wouldn't be different.
I'd have a cartoon page, but it would just have news and a brief synopsis of each series, Likewise for the comics, Although I am thinking or doing a TF comic reviews,
So does any one have any thoughts? Go for broke and try to appeal to a wider mass market? (WHich would also benefit the forum)
Please don't forget I actually pay for the website which is why I don't want to let it fall into nothing. I'm not paying out good money for nothing.

Personally, I think you should minmize the amount of money you put into the actual website itself. Keep your money, and try to have a decent site should optimize things.
My idea, would be almost to "partner" with another website. You both create one website, both put some money into it and work on it together and then use this forum to have everyone come together. It'd at least give you peace of mind to not have to worry about the website as much, and it'd work out quite well in my opinion. I mean, you are cutting back your money and you are drawing in more people (as long as the website has members, of course). Just an idea, though.

Thanks. It's not about the money though, the web hosting I have is very cheap, I just don't want to run it for members here if they're not going to even bother looking at it to give me any feedback for content. I offered for the artists here to submit me some of they're work or fan-fics, nothing came of it, I asked for feedback - nothing.
As a result of the lack of interest from parties here, I have decided to make the website more commercial instead of personal to his message board and have spend all last weekend optimizing it for browsers and making it more navigational and user-friendly.
And so it's clear for HA and any others:
Website: means: www.totaltfs.com/ not this site, this site is a message board, not a website like a paid domain. This seems to be going over most of everyone's heads, so I can't really make that any clear than how crystal clear I'm being. (As Sam Witwicky said in the 2007 Transformers film!)

from what I see you don't really need to change anything. you already do some news, if you could just get people interested in sharing their stuff on the website, maybe have a members collection page for members to show of their collections to the masses.

That's been the problem, getting people here interested contributing stuff, which is why I've now had to cater for a more commercial stature.
I would love to do that with the galleries though. HA? Now you've got your pictures up at last, want em to go up on totaltfs.com?

Your pics are now up Onix.
The "My TF Collection" has been changed to "Member's TF Collections", in which there is an index of member's galleries. On each member's page the menu for the website has been pushed to the top to help keep the site optimized for users and because of the large photo's.

Ta. I wanted a face to face shot (bee: left, L1: right), but with the limited pictured of Leader-1 it made it impossible. Still that's what you get when your a Gobot!

Your mean! Well, once I get my hands on a Leader 1 toy from ebay or something, I'm gonna redo this idea.
